Murmur Woods ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices when using Murmur Woods on the web, App Store, and Google Play (the "App").

Murmur Woods is a logic puzzle game with no account system. Your puzzle progress is stored locally on your device or browser. We only collect limited data necessary to operate, improve, and support the App.

  • Game Progress & Settings: Puzzle progress and preferences are stored locally on your device or browser using local storage.

1.2 Information collected automatically

We may automatically collect limited technical and usage information to operate and improve the App:

  • Device & App Information: device type, operating system, language, app version, and basic diagnostics.
  • Usage Analytics: aggregated usage events (such as feature interactions and session duration) collected via Google Analytics.
  • Advertising Data (App only): advertising identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android) and ad interaction data, collected by AdMob.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or account credentials.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide gameplay: save progress and settings locally and deliver core puzzle functionality.
  • Improve the App: analyze aggregated usage data to understand gameplay patterns and improve performance and stability.
  • Advertising (App only): display ads and measure their performance to support development.

The App uses Google Analytics to understand how players use Murmur Woods. Analytics data is aggregated and used to improve gameplay and performance.

On mobile platforms, the App uses AdMob to display ads. Where required by law or platform policy (such as iOS App Tracking Transparency), we will request your permission before accessing advertising identifiers.

You can control ad personalization and tracking through your device settings. Limiting tracking may result in less personalized ads but will not affect gameplay.

Game progress remains on your device or browser until you remove it or clear local storage. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s data retention policies.
